Alter CallerID

This feature is used to display a custom CallerID while dialling an outbound call. The Alter CallerID feature is very useful in environments where a tenant uses multiple DID for various customers.

The Alter CallerID configuration is divided into 2 parts.

Part I: Custom Destination Configuration – Forward call to

Select Custom Destination and then “New Custom Destination”

• Type:<Forward Call to>
• Name:<Dialled No. with xxxx CallerID>
• Phone Number :<${PARAM1}>
• Dial Timeout: <600>
• Caller ID: <Select a desired CallerID from the dropdown list or Add one if required>
• Add Diversion Header:<No Diversion Header>
• Generate fake ringing Tone <No Fake ringing tone>
• Click “Save”

 

 Part II: Custom Destination Configuration – Use a Feature code

• Code:<*55[NUM]>
• Comment :<Dialled Number with xxxxx Caller ID>
• Destination: <Select the Forward Call to from the drop down menu>

(This is the one you have created in the previous step)

• Click “Save”
