This guide will show you how to create and customise your own conference room - your created room can be applied to the unconditional forward of a number if temporary or as the main destination for a long term solution.
To create your own audio only conference room go to Configuration > Conference Rooms and click New Conference Room at the top right of the page.
To start - name your Conference Room - ideally something easily recognisable if you plan on applying it to one of your DIDs.
Number is an optional internal number used to dial the conference room from phones on your system - this number should be unique as to not cause clashes with other speed dials on the system - we recommend the 5000 range.
Available from - to gives you ability to open your conference room between the hours you enter here - calling outside of your set hours will hit an unavailable message.
Pin/Admin Pin are both used to access the conference room - admin pin gives access to extra features during the conference including; kicking users
Announce user count
Announce user join/leave with or without review asks new joiners to record their name before entering the conference room (with review will ask you to confirm/re-record your name) this will then play to the users already in the room and announce the entering person.
Play MOH when only one user will play your music on hold to users while they wait alone or for an admin to join. Your music on hold can be set
Allow access from Admin/User to menu with * conference room participants can press the * key on their phone to access settings in the call.
Do not play message when first person enters ticking this box will disable the - "You are currently the only person in this conference" that plays to the first person in the room.
Wait for Admin before starting the conference will keep all users on hold until an admin joins the call - this works well combined with the MOH option - users will hear music instead of silence while waiting.
Join user muted will mute all users in the call, only admins will be able to speak if this option is enabled.
Quiet disables all audio messages when joining a conference call - this will put you straight into the room with other users.
End the conference when the admin leaves will hang up the call for all users when the all admin leave the room.
Set talker/admin talker optimization are audio optimising options that attempt to help reduce background noise from the call.
Record the conference will record the call, the recording can be found by going to Status > Call History. Find your conference call by looking at the date or time or the conference call symbol on the right side of the page.
Request/Correct/Correct Admin PIN Message if you're not happy with the default or want to add a information to the audio messages that play you can upload your own recordings.
Max User Allowed sets a limit on the amount of users that can join the conference call - this does not apply to admin users.
Send Conference Report to sends out a .PDF report to any email address in this field, the report gives a breakdown on; what numbers joined, what pin they used, time of join/leaving, their length of time in the call etc.
