An auto attendant or IVR is a menu that will give callers the ability select different options based on a pre-recorded message, a set menu and their dial pad. The message should sound similar to “Welcome to Company XYZ, please press one for support, two for accounts ETC….” and should only include the numbers of their dial pad - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 # *
To add auto attendant, sign into the dashboard and open Configuration > Auto Attendants
Click New IVR in the top right hand corner
Name your Auto Attendant an easily recognisable name, such ‘Main number IVR’ and select your Welcome message the welcome message can be uploaded to Media Files using one of the following guides:
You can then select from a drop down how each option will route the call, such as ring groups, call queues and even direct to extensions
Scroll to the bottom of the page and press Save
